Have you ever reached a point where you felt trapped by sickness, pain, or endless prayers that seemed to go unanswered? I’ve been there too. I’ve wrestled with doubts, wondering if God actually wanted me—or anyone else—to be healed. It can feel like a heavy burden when your mind whispers, “Maybe this sickness is God’s will for me.” But here’s the bottom line—you’ve been lied to! The truth is clear: it is God’s will to heal.

From the very beginning, His desire has never been for His children to remain in sickness or pain. He wants you whole, restored, and free.

The Bible says, “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers” (3 John 1:2, NKJV).

That doesn’t sound like a God who wants you broken. That sounds like a Father longing to bless you.

And yet, many people live their entire lives doubting this. They say things like, “If it’s God’s will, He’ll heal me someday.” But here’s the shocking twist:

Jesus already revealed God’s will. When the centurion begged Him to heal his servant, Jesus replied without hesitation:

“I will come and heal him” (Matthew 8:7, NKJV).

Did you catch that? He didn’t say “maybe” or “if it’s time.” He said, “I will!”

Why Many Struggle to Believe in Healing

I can’t help but feel that this is one of the greatest deceptions the enemy has planted in people’s hearts.

I’ve come across churches, books, and sermons that boldly declare, Healing is not for today.” I was blown away by the contradiction! Some leaders even pray for the sick right after saying healing isn’t God’s will anymore. How confusing is that?!

Here’s something special you need to remember: unbelief doesn’t change God’s will. Doubt doesn’t rewrite what Jesus already accomplished.

The Bible states it plainly: “Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses” (Matthew 8:17, NKJV).

That wasn’t symbolic. That was literal. He carried it so you wouldn’t have to.

I realized how much this teaching about “God’s will to heal” matters because faith cannot exist without certainty. You cannot believe for a healing miracle if you think God might be withholding it. Faith comes alive only when you know, deep down, that He wants you well. Without that assurance, hope fades, and prayers become empty words.

Healing is a Blessing Paid in Full

Let’s take a closer look at what Jesus accomplished. Scripture reveals, “For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil” (1 John 3:8, NKJV). Sickness is one of those works, and Jesus destroyed it at the cross.

I’ve always admired the way the Bible connects forgiveness of sin and physical healing. Both flow from the same sacrifice.

Peter writes, “Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed” (1 Peter 2:24, NKJV).

Notice it doesn’t say “you will be healed someday.” It says “you were healed.” Past tense. Finished work.

This is something powerful! If you can believe that God forgave your sins, then you must also believe He provided healing for your body. Both are part of the same blessing of healing. You don’t have to beg God for what He already gave. You only need to receive it.

The Struggle Between Faith and Tradition

Here’s the hard truth—tradition kills faith. I’ve struggled with this myself. I grew up hearing people say that “God makes people sick to teach them a lesson.” But I couldn’t shake the feeling that this picture of God didn’t line up with Scripture.

Why would a loving Father break His children just to get their attention? That doesn’t sound like Jesus.

Jesus never put sickness on anyone. Instead, He healed everyone who came to Him. “And great multitudes followed Him, and He healed them all” (Matthew 12:15, NKJV). That’s the record. That’s the proof. Yet today, many still argue against healing, claiming miracles ended long ago. But wait—there’s more! The Bible never says healing has expired. What expired was sin’s dominion over you, not God’s power to heal.

I decided to take a closer look at the pattern of Jesus’ ministry. I was amazed to discover that healing was never an “extra.” It was central to His mission. It was His will then, and it is His will now.

Living in God’s Will of Healing Today

Now let me say this as clearly as I can: it is God’s will to heal you. Not tomorrow. Not “if He feels like it.” Not “if you deserve it.” But right now. Healing is not about your worthiness—it’s about His promise.

You may have struggled with sickness for years, and I understand how heavy that feels. But I want you to picture this: Jesus standing right beside you, saying the same words He said to the centurion—“I will come and heal you.” That is His heart. That is His will.

The Bible says, “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise…but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9, NKJV). If He is willing to save all, He is willing to heal all. Salvation and healing flow together. Both are part of the covenant. Both are signs of His love.

I can honestly say this: I’ve seen people transformed when they stopped doubting and started believing that God’s will to heal is unshakable. You too can experience that breakthrough. The moment you shift from “maybe” to “He will,” your faith rises, and miracles become possible.

Conclusion: Your Healing is God’s Will

I’ve grown to appreciate the simplicity of God’s truth. Healing is not complicated. It is not distant. It is not rare. Healing is part of your inheritance. The same cross that carried your sin carried your sickness too. That’s the blessing of healing, a gift purchased in blood.

Here’s the bottom line—you don’t need to question whether it’s God’s will to heal. The answer is already written, spoken, and demonstrated through Jesus Christ.

“By whose stripes you were healed” (1 Peter 2:24, NKJV).

Now, I would like you to take a leap of faith. Open your heart, receive His promise, and declare boldly: “It is God’s will to heal me!”
